A loud scream interrupted Gia's meditation. She hated when people brought her out of her psychic journey to her inner land. She let out a long sigh and stood up putting aside the purple pillow she used every time she wanted to talk to her demons. It was her next door neighbours, Jossie who always screamed and her boyfriend who was always calm. They were fighting every now and then but this time it felt different. There were times when Gia would hear sobbing and glass shattering through the thin wall and knew that Jossie cut herself, she saw her scars one day when Jossie was sunbathing in her balcony. Gia was in her own world, fighting her own demons, she would never confront them about anything, especially the noise. But this loud scream made the hair on the back of her neck stand up.

The actors were on stage when the black out happened during the last performance of the play ‘Bedtime Stories ’. They were shocked but kept going as professionals. It was Billie’s and Georgina’s turn to enter the scene singing when Billie heard a whisper and Georgina felt something cold holding her hand. ‘Did you hear that?’, asked Billie and her face was white as a sheet. ‘Oh, I didn’t hear a thing but I swear something is touching me.‘ replied Georgina. They were both frightened and almost lost their line. Holding each other’s hand tight, Billie and Georgina entered and sang a capella a well rehearsed song, but they couldn’t move. Something or someone was keeping them... Safe.
